Work experience

2023-now

University of Lausanne (UNIL)

Postdoctoral Project Leader

●  Improved a behavior classifier's performance from 72% to 92% accuracy by combining computer version and deep learning tools.

●  Automated a bioimaging system with the assembly of sensors/cameras and software design of a programmable interface for a novel drug-screening platform.

●  Published a review of current research progress of cancer drug repurposing for neurodevelopmental disorder.

2017-2022

Swiss Federal Insitute of Technology (EPFL)

Doctoral Researcher

●  Uncovered neural mechanisms for behavior control by prototyping a bioimaging system and computer vision engineering for object tracking and behavior classification.

●  Expanded the capacity of an existing behavior classifier by integrating a newly trained deep-learning model of pose estimation.

●  Multivariate analysis to extract features from a large-scale time-series dataset by machine learning and statistical analysis.

●  Project management on data-driven decision-making, communication with data visualization and scientific writing, and cross-functional collaboration of 3 team members to lead 3 collaborations to success (JRC and Columbia University, USA; King’s college, UK).

2014-2017

National Tsing Hua University

National Yang Ming University

Electrophysiology specialist

●  Patch-clamp to study single-cell electrophysiology to understand the neuronal and synaptic mechanisms in memory formation.

●  Analyzed the electrical signal from neurons using spike detection and waveform analysis, and object tracing from morphological image datasets.
